As a veteran of the Gulf War I do not recollect any US made weapon in the hands of Hussein’s Iraq. He had MIGS, T-72s, BMPs and SCUDS. All of his stuff was Soviet. He also had a lot of West German and French weaponry, much of it sold under the table due to sanctions during the Iran-Iraq war earlier and his use of poison gas on the Kurds. but I don’t believe the USA provided him with anything.
Please name the systems/weapons we sold him.

It was a leftoid talking point in the 1990s that the US had armed Saddam Hussein. When asked “with what, exactly?” they emitted squid ink and fled.

On the Hussein side, perhaps that frame is ‘fake but accurate’ if the ‘we’ is the USA. But, actually, no, it is right on, if you view the ‘we supplied him’ as the Deep State Cabal.
