While current federal law prohibits non-U.S. citizens from working in law enforcement, Washington D.C. has joined the push to allow non-citizen green card holders to work as police officers.
Immigrants without U.S. citizenship will soon be able to get badges and guns, and authorized to arrest Americans in the nation’s capital, as the city’s Police Department (DC MPD) struggles to recruit and retain police officers. New hires, including non-citizen green card holders, will even be offered up to $25,000 in signing bonuses.
“As an agency, we truly believe that a workforce that represents our community brings a variety of ideas, experiences, and perspectives. Together, this blend drives innovation and growth,” said Ashan Benedict, Interim Chief of Police, whose own parents are Sri Lankan immigrants.
Benedict continued, “This step marks a significant milestone in our journey, as we look forward to welcoming a more diverse pool of applicants.”
In June, The Gateway Pundit reported the Illinois House and Senate passed Bill 3751 allowing some work-eligible non US citizens to serve in law enforcement in the state.
The bill states, “Reinserts the provisions of the engrossed bill and adds that an individual against whom immigration action has been deferred by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services under the federal Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) process is allowed to apply for the position of police officer, deputy sheriff, or special policeman, subject to specified requirements. Effective January 1, 2024.”
“Doing the work Americans won’t do”.

Can they be any worse than the dog and innocent person shooters they’ve been hiring?
Chinese immigrant ones can use the convenient Chinese police substations in the US.
China denies it, of course.

This occurs because most so-called citizens of Washington D.C. can neither read nor write.
Since it is DC, sounds like it could become a potentially serious security issue.

As I understand it, DACA immigrants are forbidden by federal law to possess firearms (up until they become full fledged citizens, I guess). So, they won’t be allowed to be armed police officers.

Next step is for the Mexican cartels to own and control the DC police force.

Liberals can always be counted on to make things worse with their legislation.
And just how can they, as unindicted criminals, being illegally in the US, enforce US law, testify in court? Seems that they would be impeachable.
If I have one of these illegal alien police officers face me in court I would be asking them if they lie and are breaking the law, and therefore how do we know that their claims in court are any more truthful?
The Demoncrats ... I mean Democrats continue to rack up Blue City success stories about their ability to control crime and support their police departments. I can hear them now just before the 2024 elections “Help UN. Crime is out of control in the US and we need you come in and restore law and order ... even impose martial law if you think it’s necessary and we will also suspend the 2024 elections if you think it necessary”.
If these new cops are Mexicans, they may have a hard time comprehending the “not shooting blacks” thing.
First thing I’d ask THEM/any cop is to show me your green card or passport or any identification showing you’re a US citizen - if not, bug off.
