Strategic win? Within the next 25 years China will move to take control of Russia’s rich Asian Pacific territories and probably the treasure house of Siberia. This will alter the balance of power in Asia and will not be acceptable to Japan, India, Vietnam, most other Asian countries, Russia and the US. The irony is that thanks to this catosrophic, needless war precipitated by Putins delusions of restoring the Russian empire and his fear of NATO encroachment, China knows Russia cannot defend these territories unless nuclear weapons are deployed and will act. The rest of the world will fear the reestablishment of the Middle Kingdom and all or some of those countries may be forced to go to war. Also if some of the enthusiasts of this meat grinder actually toured a battlefield and viewed the human carnage rendered by modern weapons, they just might lose their enthusiasm for this sort of thing. Imagine it would have the same effect on some pro abortion enthusiasts who watched four or five abortions at different stages.
