Hey, where does Fitch get off with this? After all, Kevin McCarthy, Chuck Schumer and Joe Biden just closed a deal this June where they (political) promised not to raise the National Debt by more than $4 TRILLION dollars in 19 months.
Considering that it took 206 years, or until fiscal year 1982, for the National Debt to reach $1 TRILLION dollars, and another 10 years to reach $4 TRILLION, the current group of clowns feel they are practicing great fiscal restraint.

Joe comes back, and says Kevin kept his word.
They had the romance, and the People got screwed.

And he moved the next Debt Ceiling to a Lame Duck Gov’t - ensuring lots of spending At Christmas and from unaccountable peeps.
