Former Vice President Mike Pence got roasted online on Tuesday night after releasing a new campaign ad.
In an attempt to resonate with Americans over rising fuel prices, Pence was filmed supposedly filling up a pickup truck with gas. However, keen-eyed viewers quickly pointed out he failed to select the fuel grade and activate the gas pump lever.
Pence failed to select a gas type, and the pump continuously beeped in the background.

Doesn’t even know how to fill up a tank. None of these candidates have competent staff who actually care about getting their boss elected.
Mother usually takes care of that.

One early oddity I noticed was that the vehicle fuel door was already open when he got out of the truck.
Politicians are so phony.
His wife says his gas pumping savvy is similar to his other pumping skills. He’s a bit clueless on what buttons to push, and talks about all the wrong things while doing it.
The “crackpot” can’t be trusted alone with a gas pump. Where’s the wife?
That and looking at his watch during the debate, that was a killer, the media really pounced on that one.
What happened to the pull handle on the hose nozzle? When did that go away? I used to enjoy ticking the handle to get the pump to read an even number and fill up for $12.00 and complain about the cost while earning $3.80 per hour.
Am I old and out of touch or just been away too long (Yes. Thank you God!).
Don’t pretend to do something you don’t know how to do..
When you are polling at under 1% in a primary, you probably can’t afford $5 bucks for enough gas to film a campaign ad

Yup, you’re old - as am I (78). One of my daughters asked me awhile back why I kept bumping the pump handle till I got to an even dollar amount when I’m paying with a credit card? Explained there was no logic, just that I grew up when credit cards were rare and most gas purchases were with cash. Told her old dogs are hard to retrain, lol 😂!
