Well written article and nice disassembly of an elitist scumbag. Thanks for posting it. While I’d heard about this song, this is the first time I listened to it. It definitely captures and protests the plight of many Americans, right out of ‘60s. I hope he starts a trend.

Wright seems to be adopting the left's strategy of absolutely literal interpretation of everything someone says instead of responding to the message.
Is Wright so dumb that he actually thinks songwriters are literally describing themselves in a song? Has it ever occurred to him that a song contains a message, and that musicians are artists sharing a message?
Wright probably thinks Ronnie Van Zant was actually dancing with Linda Lou.

Look for the knives to come out for this upstart, who recorded a simple self-written song on an acoustic guitar and uploaded it to the internet, where it proceeded to rocket to become the number one song in the country within days, displacing "safe" artists like Taylor Swift, who harmlessly sings about old boyfriends that did her wrong.
They will dig and dig and dig until they find something from his past that allows them to dismiss him as a racist, or a Jew-hater or whatnot. They will then offer him a million dollar recording contract where he can cover Randy Travis songs and harmlessly sing about trucks, beers, and grandma. k
