How about being a bit more strategic MTG? The deadlines to enter the primaries will start expiring respectively in the coming weeks. Begin the inquiry in the fall. Vote to impeach in January. Setting up ancillary legal proceedings when the candidate is trying to win primaries. What a novel concept. Or you can shoot your wad now. Barely get through the House, if you do, followed by a quick acquittal in the Senate. Then by the time the first votes are cast in January the media will have had months to ram home a comeback kid-style narrative for Joe

Matt Gaetz launched a salvo over McCarthy’s bow yesterday enumerating the things McCarthy promised the Freedom Caucus to get the Speakership that he hasn’t delivered. Releasing January 6th tapes was there. I think there were 7 items. I read Gaetz’ to be a reminder to McCarthy that a single member can call for a vote to vacate the seat. MTG got kicked out of the Freedom Caucus. Perhaps she trying to position herself as leading the charge.

The GOP House can defund everything she wants without shuttering government, but the GOP House, under the leadership of Kevin McCarthy will not do what they promised back in January. That is pass appropriations bills using regular order. McCarthy will instead give instructions to the caucus to vote for a continuing resolution next month. Then at a later date pass an omnibus appropriations bill. We’ll hear every sort of excuse for this, but the bottom line is a CR and omnibus bill is a rubber stamp on everything Pelosi wanted to spend money on in the last Congress. To be completely clear: Republicans are voting for Pelosi’s and Biden’s budget - untouched and unchallenged just as if they were Democrats.
MTG went out of her way in January to support McCarthy for Speaker. She was outspoken about it. That shows exactly how unintelligent MTG is. Now she is being played in every which way and is completely unaware. Even this impeachment business with Biden is total nonsense. It’s virtue signaling. There is no way the Senate will produce the votes to remove Biden from office. Even if they did, Harris would become President. Exactly how is that any better than Biden. It is a wasted effort.
Contrast that wasted effort to Republicans actually doing their jobs and funding government in regular appropriations bills that actually spend, and not spend, the tax dollars of the people who elected them. That can certainly exclude monies for everything MTG yaps her mouth about. It also could eliminate $2+ Trillion per year in spending - that’s money we don’t have. It’s spending that has created our current economic mess. MTG is not bright enough to understand these very simple things. She’s a dumb blond trailer skank.

Impeachment of Biden is silly. He merely has somewhat more than 15 months to go. The Senate will not vote to convict regardless of the evidence. Hold back the evidence since the Democrats might make him a candidate again. Keep him a viable candidate so RFK Jr. and Biden will have to fight it out.
The government will have to funded, so pass basic bills to do what is clearly necessary.
I’m not sure what to do with the Trump case funding. I’m pretty sure Jack Smith would work without pay. I know there is nothing to the J6 case. The war plan is undoubtedly insufficient and likely obsolete. Most of the rest probably appeared in the Washington Post in some form.
