It appears McCarthy is backing down after claiming he will look at opening a Biden impeachment inquiry without a floor vote since several Republican lawmakers are not convinced there is enough evidence of Biden corruption.
Because bank statements, informants, witnesses, credible whistleblowers, emails, WhatsApp messages and documents from Hunter Biden’s laptop from hell isn’t enough evidence.
House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) said he will not open an impeachment inquiry without a formal vote on the House floor.
House Republicans currently have a slim majority of 222 to 212 and one vacancy.
McCarthy is now backing down as he continues to kick the can down the road.

With only 222 Republicans in Congress, and 218 needed to open the impeachment, a handful of Republicans can scuttle the whole thing.
He doesn’t have the votes.
Of course we could discuss that real leadership would involve getting his caucus on board with this.

There is no chance Joey will be convicted but that is not the point. Getting the evidence out that destroys the Biden Crime Family and lost and lots of other rodents and a few rinos is the real prize.

You can’t blame him. He needs 100% backup and it isn’t there. Why lead where others won’t follow? MTG would lead us over a cliff.

McCarthy will allow them to “vote their conscious”. Total lack of discipline.
Nancy Pelosi would know the vote total prior to the vote and crack down on any dissenters. Total discipline.
Why can’t Kevin lead like Nancy Pelosi. I’m sure she didn’t have the votes at the outset but she got her people in line.
