I mostly smack a bucket of balls at the driving range a couple times a week weather permitting (which includes heat), I used to golf rounds, but I got put into groups sometimes. Quite often there was a real hot head playing... you know pissed off at every off shot, throwing clubs, I even saw a guy smack a tree and break a four iron... all sorts of junk like that.
And I would keep score during those tournaments or get togethers, but truthfully I stopped keeping score probably around 1995. I just enjoy smacking balls around around the links. I take good aim, I’m probably making par or 1 over, it’s never been a hard game for me.
I did notice back in the ‘80s the courses started getting a bit crowded because everybody suddenly was into it. I almost returned to tennis at that point and I still do bang a tennis ball around a little but I’ve got some tendonitis issues that really exacerbates when I swing a racket.
I’ve seen assholes like this come up from behind and I just wave them through and they’re usually in a hurry they’re out of my way in short order.
