1) They don't want to get married.
Young ladies look at guys as slobs playing video games into their 30's, while the ladies are on crusades for "equity" and to "save the planet". They wonder why guys don't 'love' them.
Young men look at ladies as self-centered egoists who want to control everything and be the leader. Instead of exerting their role - they play into their "fight" or "flight" response and choose "flight", hence the video games and wasting their lives away. They wonder why ladies don't give them what they desire: "respect".
The young ladies hit their late 30's and realize that society lied to them, and they really, truly won't be having children. Then they turn into the most bitter hags imaginable. Guys turn into wimps - never learning to fight - always engaged in flight.
2.) They don't want children
Even outside of marriage they don't want children. They truly believe that the world is so lost that they wouldn't want to bring another human into it. They attempt to replace babies with dogs and cats - going to far as to buy strollers for them.
3.) They have given up on a home purchase.
They simply can't afford it. They grew up in a "give it to me now" culture and have massive debt, instead of the savings of a down payment. Even a down payment is useless with the current home "values" and interest rates.
Simply put - the younger generation has pretty much lost all hope. We can blame them, but the generations above them raised them.
Now you know why they major in Underwater Basket Weaving. They have no direction or hope to do anything else.

Next up: Climate change is causing increased crime and homelessness. Robberies, car-jackings, organized shoplifting, the decline of and collapse of US moral institutions....all caused by Climate Change.

Unmentioned is crippling college student loan debt (for those that took out loans), soaring rents, the requirement to make significant down payments to get the lowest interest rates, elevated home sale prices, lack of inventory and how all those impact family formation.
And, if despite all that, couples do “get together” (I’d write marry but that’s so passé these days), among the many other expenses, is the possible cost of sending their children to private schools in order to avoid the woke indoctrination centers now being passed off as public schools.
No, it is Biden’s mortgage interest rates that preclude homeownership for most of them! Typical rates were about 3% when Biden took office; now they’re pushing 8%.
