Former first lady Melania Trump has reportedly renegotiated her prenuptial agreement with former President Donald Trump ahead of a possible second term as president, doing so under the radar.
A source described the agreement's details to Page Six, saying negotiations took place over the past year. The new agreement didn't solely come ahead of the former president's third White House run, they claimed, adding that mounting legal concerns played a role.
“This agreement was necessary because of the current legal battles … [Donald] has suffered," they said.
The source explained, “Trump remains very rich, but with mounting legal bills and judgments,” the agreement was amended to “provide a more solid future” for both Melania and Barron Trump.
“This is at least the third time Melania has renegotiated the terms of her marital agreement,” the source added, noting that the negotiated agreement does not mean a divorce is imminent.
“It’s not that she threatened to leave him,” the source said, adding, “It’s definitely the underlying idea.”
According to the source, Donald Trump's youngest child, 17-year-old Barron Trump, is Melania Trump's chief concern when it comes to the agreement. A different source indicated to Page Six, “I know that she wanted it to provide her with more money, and also, from what I understand, there’s a specific amount at minimum that Barron is supposed to obtain.”
The new version of the agreement reportedly provides for Melania Trump as well as Barron Trump and secures both money and property for the former first lady.
The Trump campaign didn't provide confirmation or comment to the Washington Examiner.
Melania Trump has been absent from the campaign trail as her husband courts voters for his 2024 run. The former president addressed this recently, saying, "Honestly, I like to keep her away from it."
"It's so nasty and so mean," he added.
It was previously reported that her absence was due to her preference for privacy and her prioritization of raising Barron.

President Trump has lost around of a third of his wealth by getting involved in politics. Democrat and deep state leadership is determined to take it all and lock him up for the rest of his life through lawfare. Of course, many of them would prefer that he was dead. If he does not prevail her prenup will not be worth anything.

Not surprising as most wealthy men attract beautiful women as money does that...She was against him running and hated being 1st lady so she is covering her bases in case of his death or losing his wealth...Just business..
How common is it when it’s obvious that Rat Party Headquarters wants to bankrupt your husband? Could there be a divorce in the making? Could there be a “tell all” book in her future?
Don’t prenup payments come first, before any other creditors or judgments?
Can you imagine how unhinged Trump would be if the Dim attacks on him result in divorce? I almost wish it happens.
Don’t get married guys. You are just an income source for them. You are just life insurance. You are no longer first with them in anything. Its like this with all women, its how they all think, prenup or not. Besides prenups get tossed aside all the time, the woman just cries and says she felt pressured and/or “didn’t understand it” and some white knight simp/feminist judge throws it out.

It’s hard for me to imagine Rat Party Headquarters being able to bring the Trumps down to poverty levels. When they’re done with him he might be worth $100 million...maybe even $50 million. A family of three can live quite comfortably with a net worth of $50 million and an inflation adjusted Presidential pension. Is she shallow enough to divorce him if he’s only worth $50 million? Who knows.

Melenia’s prenup likely has less to do with her and Donald's likelihood of breaking up than it has to do with protecting assets should something bad happen to him.

Yes if Trump goes broke Melania is going to have a tough time making it on the $40-$50 million she’s worth in her own right. 😏
That is interesting, but even if the language in your prenup specified that... it seems highly unlikely that creditors would see it that way. I am skeptical those who own the mortgage on your mansion, the loan on your car, or the credit card that paid for your fur coat would forgive the debt because your prenup specified that you came before them.
