Maybe the real message is there are no citizens in California qualified to go to the senate?
Newsom promised to pick a black female, but there must be hundreds of thousands of black female citizens of California who meet the age requirement to be a Senator, and maybe hundreds who meet his other requirements (being lesbian and militantly pro-abortion). So why does he have to pick someone from another state?
