American founding father Samuel Adams died on the 2nd of October 217 years ago.
His thoughts still live:
“The natural liberty of man is to be free from any superior power on Earth, and not to be under the will or legislative authority of man, but only to have the law of nature for his rule.” ........ "Donald Trump telling America "Dont let the virus dominate you."
“How strangely will the Tools of a Tyrant pervert the plain Meaning of Words!” ....... POTUS 46
“The love of power, like the love of money, increases with the possession of it; and we know in what ruin these baneful passions have involved human societies in all ages when they have been let loose and suffered to rage uncontrolled – There is no restraint like the pervading eye of the virtuous citizens.” ........ This s why Biden is unelectable in 2024
“It does not take a majority to prevail… but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men.” ......... Buffalo Guy has already won. His false imprisonment guarantees it.
“Numerous have been the manifestations of God’s providence in sustaining us. In the gloomy period of adversity, we have had ‘our cloud by day and pillar of fire by night.’ We have been reduced to distress, and the arm of Omnipotence has raised us up.”
God Bless Freedom.
Tyranny will fail.

I like this Adams guy

Biden was unelectable in 2020, too. Remember his rallies with a dozen people attending?
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom - go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!
Samuel Adams
He (through his lieutenant, Will Molineaux) fomented the Boston Massacre (witnesses testified that Molineaux actually directed the rioters, though he was described only as a 'tall man in a red cloak'), then harassed his distant cousin John Adams when he undertook the defense of Capt. Preston and his men for murder.
His "bully boys" were only moderately controllable, he was in essence a crime boss, and that's why he was lateraled out of national politics to end his days as a largely figurehead governor of MA.
Both portraits by J.S. Copley.
"THE natural liberty of man is to be free from any superior power on earth, and not to be under the will or legislative authority of man, but to have only the law of nature for his rule. "
This appears to be a John Locke quote rather than a Samuel Adams quote.
And 8 of those 12 were reporters!!

CHAPTER. IV. OF SLAVERY.Sect. 22. THE natural liberty of man is to be free from any superior power on earth, and not to be under the will or legislative authority of man, but to have only the law of nature for his rule.
Misattributed by Brainy Quote to Samuel Adams, born 1722.
