“broke victim’s pelvis” is a tempered description
The forces by attackers holding and pulling each leg - away from the centerline of the body - can separate the pelvis at the sacrum. The body is torn apart, internally.
The kind of torture enforced by Islam since the 7th century, but “in fairness,” also enforced by so many cruel conquerors over much longer periods of history.

I object; and I cannot entertain notions of Israel “diplomatically setting aside” such conduct and stated intentions of Iran and HAMAS.
But, Israel is human and will likely find sooner, instead of later, a path that spares many.
