I think it may have been removed (because I can’t find it) but I think there was a thread here in the past few days of a US helicopter “accidentally crashing” in Gaza or thereabouts. People here drew a parallel to Operation Eagle Claw in 1980 which was a hostage rescue attempt that didn’t go well. But this recent event (if it happened) seems to have been disappeared.
I remember reading that thread.
That incident happened June 11 in Syria, not recently in Israel. Smart-aleck twitter/X users reposted the story by misrepresenting the time and place to put it in Israel two days on the 22nd.
My rule of thumb is never trust anything on Twitter/X, or from one of too many cookie cutter click bait news sites, without checking other sources.
