Control of money to Palestine nothing
Iceland has sent over 2 billion ISK to the PA since 2011.
In light of the natural disaster going on there now, and the government's less than stellar response, wonder if Icelanders are regretting that largesse.
Two questions - Where is “Palestine”? And who are “Palestinians”?
“Palestine” was a term applied to a region at about the time of the Roman occupation before the time of Christ, and it has no more meaning today than “Anatolia” or “Babylon”. The term has fallen into the dustbin of history. and the present day knows it only as Lebanon, Israel, the West Bank, and Gaza.
Most “Palestinians” are stateless persons who are descended from those who were sent into exile from Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Syria and even Turkey, as “undesirables”, and none of those national entities feel any obligation to accept them back within their own borders. But that past history in no way gives them any “right” to the locality upon which they are squatting. This ragtag assortment of “deplorables” has no designated home, and they have REJECTED all attempts to carve out a permanent land base, insisting instead that the Jewish people simply depart, and they take over the improved countryside that is now known as Israel, without compensation and without treaty.
