A photo of Gaza babies has appeared all over social media saying they were taken out of their incubators because the hospital doesn’t have electricity.

The thing is there’s also an uncropped photo that clearly shows a functional electrical monitor in the background.

I am reminded of the 1943 movie NORTH STAR in which the evil nazis take Russian kids, drain their blood to give wounded German soldiers transfusions.

Such propaganda has been with us for years. In 1969 I used to listen to Radio Moscow over short wave. It was interesting to hear how many North Vietnamese schools, hospitals and Orphanages acted as bomb magnets for US bombs.

Some claims were no doubt true, but the most sensational one -- that Iraqi soldiers removed hundreds of Kuwaiti babies from incubators and left them to die on hospital floors -- was shown to be almost certainly false by an ABC reporter, John Martin, in March 1991, directly after the liberation of Kuwait. He interviewed hospital doctors who stayed in Kuwait throughout the occupation.

He interviewed ONE doctor, not a Kuwaiti doctor but a Palestinian, who turned out to be a collaborator, who had to fled Kuwait as soon as his little feet would carry him away, never to return, when his Iraqi friends pulled out. The western press took the word of a Palestinian collaborator over that of a score of nurses.
