In 2 Thessalonians 2, Paul (by the Holy Spirit) nailed it: “because they received not the love of the truth, God will send them strong delusion, that they will believe the lie.”
Exactly.
It goes to show the depths of deception Satan is able to impose on people.
Once they are there, only the power of God can break it.
We need to pray the Holy Spirit will do that in many lives.
