I was disappointed in Kevin Bacon’s character (prepper, survivalist). If confronted with foragers asking for free stuff who refused to leave my property and who pointed a gun at me, if I raised my gun it would be to shoot. Brandishing and allowing further negotiations is stupid.

The movie was a convoluted mess of false directions, bizarre behavior, serious contradictions, and long unexplained scenes that never panned out, it was just a long silly movie of randomness with no pay-off, it amounted to nothing.
