Whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty? Trump has not been found guilty of insurrection. If that’s the case, then I would like to make an allegation that the four members of the Colorado Supreme court are using their position for personal gain.
Title 5 CFR § 2635.702:
(a) Inducement or coercion of benefits. An employee shall not use or permit the use of his Government position or title or any authority associated with his public office in a manner that is intended to coerce or induce another person, including a subordinate, to provide any benefit, financial or otherwise, to himself or to friends, relatives, or persons with whom the employee is affiliated in a nongovernmental capacity.

To my mind, disqualifying Trump because of being ‘charged’ should be the equivalent of disqualifying Biden because the House has opened up a formal impeachment inquiry. They have no other option than to disqualify Biden, then.
