A federal appeals court on Thursday denied President Trump’s motion seeking to delay the E. Jean Carroll defamation trial set for January 15, 2024, in Manhattan.
Trump’s attorney asked the appeals court to give the former president 90 days to stay the trial and give him the option to take the fight to the US Supreme Court.
“The requested stays are necessary and appropriate to give President Trump an opportunity to fully litigate his entitlement to present an immunity defense in the underlying proceedings, including pursuing the appeal in the Supreme Court if necessary,” Trump’s lawyer Alina Habba wrote, according to ABC News.

How are these cases going to the front of the line? Here is LA they are setting trial dates for mid to late 2025. Does NY not have a backlog of cases like LA does?
Jury nullification is an absolute must in combating lawfare.

Correct. In certain places across the country cases are still backlogged due to the Covid pandemic in 2020/21. They are bumping Trump’s cases to the forefront before the election.

In my local county in CA, you’re lucky if you get a trial 2 years after filing. The second case was filed in May or June.

First...Jean Carroll was attractive back in the day.
I found an article she wrote for Vanity Fair...and it wasn’t good for DJT but the main woman who was mentioned kept coming back to Trump. E Jean is a very snarky writer - just what VF would want.
And then the DNA - apparently the judge ruled that they wouldn’t accept DJT’s DNA that it never happened to E Jean - at least not by Trump.
BUT - even if what she claims is true - how different is all this from what the Kennedys did...or Johnson...or a bunch of others?
The difference is Trump is not a rat. So case closed for me.
I wonder if the judge ever actually read the CONTEMPORARY definition of the law as it exists today. Which is, it can’t affect anyone. All the media ever cites is the original text to the Amendment.
So if the charging documents cite the original text, instead of the current text, well that corrected text read in court by Trump’s attorney of that section of the law might bring a profound silence into the room.

First of all, ALL dressing room LOCK, upon the closure of the door and can NOT be reopened by any shopper! A sales woman HAS TO open the door with a key.
Secondly, NO SHOPPER just takes an item/s off a rack and carries it to a dressing room! A saleswoman takes it/them, carries it, is accompanied by a fitter, and opens the door and either stays with you IN THE DRESSING ROOM, or stands, with the fitter, RIGHT OUTSIDE THE DOOR!
Thirdly, men do NOT go into dressing rooms with women, not boy friends, husbands, whatever, except possibly an infant or toddler.

I just wanted to see what their claims are because I didn’t know for sure what their whole story is. It’s been a long time since I was in Bergdorfs. I did see that a person who had worked there for 30 years said a rape had never been reported. Personally I don’t remember the dressing rooms.
However a friend of mine and her daughter were in a dressing room at Bergdorfs quite a few years ago and had a purse hanging on a hook when someone’s arm reached over the top of the door and tried to snatch the purse. I suppose you can imagine what color the arm was.
I think Trump isn’t perfect - but then who is. Whatever he did in his past pretty dang hard to think he raped someone in Bergdorfs. Obviously Trump has been railroaded specifically because he is trying to take out the deep state because we know for sure the left does not care one whit about sexual deviance.
