Victor Davis Hanson is the Martin and Illie Anderson Senior Fellow in Residence in Classics and Military History at the Hoover Institution, Stanford University, a professor of Classics Emeritus at California State University, Fresno, and a nationally syndicated columnist for Tribune Media Services.
He is also the Wayne & Marcia Buske Distinguished Fellow in History, Hillsdale College, where he teaches each fall semester courses in military history and classical culture.

There is a great book, “Leftism Revisited: from de Sade and Marx to Hitler and Pol Pot” by Erik von Kuehnelt-Leddihn that was published in the 90’s that discusses the history of leftism and it’s destruction. It’s out of print, but if you can get you hands on a copy it is worth reading.

Yes, people of goodwill are waking up to the realization that the world is occupied by multitudes of inspired Satanic believers who are bent on destroying God’s kingdom and all humanity. They fall into different so-called religious groups (Islamists) and ideologies (Marxists, Fascists), but all have as their central theme trashing and destroying the past and all that’s civilized, wholesome, and good. It’s the job of civilized peoples of goodwill everywhere to push back against these hedonistic marauders or they will destroy our world and us along with it. He and his followers are now raging as wild beasts.

That is an epic and scholarly work. Fortunately, I purchased a copy a few decades ago.
