This enables the USSC to rule the case to be moot. Since the name will be on the ballot, no need for a ruling.

I wouldn’t think the SCOTUS would like to be part of such game-playing. But, I guess you never know until they make the ruling.
Which I’m sure is a relief. Judicial branch does not like to be put in that position.
