The proper response to this would be to tell El Presidente that we are going to send 60 million hispanics back to Mexico and that he had better start getting ready.
Most of our Latin American immigrants actually just do want to be part of our society...so we have to demand that each one do a legal application for residency, which means a criminal background check and weeding out criminals, people being trafficked or their traffickers, etc. ANd we need to have a better procedure for immigration or temporary immigration from our border states (Mexico and Canada) where they actually can return to their countries. They could apply at the border, and most genuine good immigrants would get in. But this has been blocked by the leftist labor unions since forever.
As for non-Latin AMerican immigrants, Mexico doesn’t want them and neither do we. Arabs, Chinese, etc. need to be sent back to where they came from and apply from there.
This is with the exception of Christian Africans, who actually are fleeing persecution by the Muslims but since they are Christians, they are not accepted by the US as refugees from persecution. Change that. Christian Africans make good citizens.
SO there’s not a blanket answer, but the problem is that we’re not thinking about it from terms of our advantage, and we need to start doing that.
For one thing, our native population has a non-replacement birthrate, so we’ve either got to start having more children or getting the right immigrants. THese would generally be Christians, speakers of English and/or Spanish (don’t forget, the Spanish established the first city here, St Augustine FL in 1565), some skills even if simple ones, and most of all the desire to be here and be part of the project.
The people currently flooding across the border don’t care.
So yes, but we need a president strong enough to make demands on Mexico (which doesn’t want these “migrants” either).

How about instead we demand payment for the cost of every illegal and all the medical care obtained in the US by Mexican citizens who weren’t being taken care of by their own corrupt government. There are definitely ways to collect on this debt.
