Trump prosecutor Nathan Wade splurged on lavish trips with Fani Willis while ex-wife struggled ‘without any means of financial support’: court docs

A top prosecutor leading the election interference case against Donald Trump in Georgia has allegedly left his estranged wife “without any means of financial support” while splurging on “lavish trips” for himself and his boss, Fani Willis.

Nathan Wade, who has been married for 26 years and shares two adult children with his wife Joycelyn, filed for divorce in Cobb County, outside Atlanta, in November 2021, according to court records.

The filings in the ongoing case have been sealed since February 2022.

The former couple’s marriage came under the spotlight on Monday when Michael Roman, a former Trump 2020 campaign official, filed a bombshell motion that claimed Wade and Fulton County district attorney Fani Willis traveled together to vacation destinations including Florida, Napa Valley and the Caribbean.

The details of their alleged lifestyles are apparently a far cry from those of Wade’s wife, Joycelyn.

The ex claimed in a motion for expenses filed last month and obtained by The Post, that Wade has left her with next to nothing, despite him having earned more than $650,000 in legal fees from the Trump case alone since 2022.

That court filing alleges that Joycelyn is in “dire need of financial support” because she is unemployed after having been a “stay-at-home mom for 26 years” and has “no access to marital funds.”

In the documents obtained by The Post, Joycelyn claims that Wade had habitually deposited $700 bi-weekly into a joint account for household expenses but was now tapping into that for his own use and sending it into overdraft.

Assuming that the divorce isn't final, it will be fun to see Wade's expression when the divorce court judge tells him to fork over 325,000 to Jocelyn. And, I wonder if there is room for Jocelyn to file a lawsuit against Fani. Something along the lines of alienation of affection. But hey, Wade wasn't all bad though was he? I mean, he deposited 700 bi-weekly into a joint account. That is, until he started using the money for himself.

yahoonews.com——Lawyers in the Atlanta area said they’re riveted by the burgeoning Willis/Wade scandal and its implications for Democrat Willis (elected in 2020).

.......lawyers questioned Willis’ judgement in hiring Wade, w/ little experience in complex investigations....his legal work is serving as a part-time municipal judge and handling non-felony criminal cases as well as divorce and child custody cases, court records show.

“There’s a lot of shock in the legal community about what we’ve seen in the motion,” said one defense attorney. “Wade’s not the first person who comes to mind to handle a complex RICO case against a former president.”

Another defense attorney said the optics are bad for other prosecutors. “What is strange is Willis actually bringing in a ‘special prosecutor,’ and the amount of money she’s paying Wade which far surpasses what other prosecutors get paid. Maybe if Wade was known as the ‘Tom Brady of RICO prosecutions’ it would be understandable, but he’s not.”

If the allegations about Wade and willis are true, “there’s a multitude of problems with it. Just the image of the two going to Napa and going on cruises and going on vacation together, the optics of it are shameful.”

In essence, the appearance is that Fani hired a full time male escort. Maybe she should be prosecuted for violating the Mann Act.

"Big Fani, the husband stealer."

That's what I'm wondering about. Does Jocelyn have cause to sue Fani for being a home wrecker?

FTA——In documents obtained by The Post, playboy Wade’s wife, Joycelyn, claims
that Wade was depositing $700 bi-weekly into a joint account for her household expenses.

She added Wade was now tapping into the household account
“for his own use” resulting in the account being overdrawn.

So he’s sticking his wife with the household bills while he cavorts
around town with the sex-starved Fani collecting big bucks
he’s hiding from his destitute wife and mother of his children.

Nice guy.

There is no reason other than political expediency for these divorce records to be sealed “Normal” people are not allowed to have their divorce records sealed, no matter how embarrassing some of the details may be. It is only the elite and politically connected that are allowed this privilege. There is plenty of case law on this issue and the majority of court opinions support the unsealing of documents in such cases.

Also, $1400 per month is not a lot for household expenses unless he is also paying all the other bills of the marital home.

The Mann Act made it illegal to “transport any woman or girl” across state lines “for any immoral purpose.” In 1917, the Supreme Court upheld the conviction of two married men who had gone on a romantic weekend getaway with their girlfriends to Reno, Nevada, and had been arrested.Nov 13, 2009.

Ironically that was sometimes referred to as “white slavery.”

Nathan Wade gives all louts a bad name. Marries his wife, stays married to her for 26 years, she stays at home raising the now-adult children, didn’t develop any professional work experience so she could raise the children, and the scumbag leaves her penniless. It would be hard to find more of a low-down dirty skunk than that.

I read he has never been involved in a RICO case in any capacity before. But he's a steal at only $650K per annum.
