Nobody is more self serving than Meatball. I mean he actually changed the law in Florida just for himself to allow him to run for POTUS and still keep the job of Governor for when he loses.
It doesn’t get any more self serving than that. He should never have lied to the people of Florida. A guy who can lie like that is not what America needs right now.

Despite Trump’s second “endorsement” and name-calling, DeSantis made Florida election history because of how he governed in his first term. At that point, DeSantis owed Trump zip, and Trump was running scared, although he has always been way ahead in the polls. You have to be willfully blind to not see that Trump’s ego feeds off of ring-kissers and roaring crowds. It didn’t prevent him from getting some things done right as president, but it didn’t prevent him from making some terrible appointments either.
Then why is he running for office?
Yet it’s quite possible if he runs in ‘28, he will be seen as the next anointed one.

DeSantis is running because he is clearly the best qualified Republican to serve as President. He carried out conservative policies in Florida without making any appointments as stupid and incompetent as Chris Wray and Bob Barr.
Trump is running only because his wounded ego won’t let him retire and support anyone else. And the Biden/Obama cabal have nominated Trump for the Republicans with their evil indictments.
Would Trump want his supporters to vote for somebody else?

That is the most ridiculous statement anyone could make about someone running for office. Loyalty to the person who advocates something political is the same thing as wanting that political thing. It's not a junior high school crush.
