And when DeSantis proved Trump right about being a great governor:

Despite Trump’s second “endorsement” and name-calling, DeSantis made Florida election history because of how he governed in his first term. At that point, DeSantis owed Trump zip, and Trump was running scared, although he has always been way ahead in the polls. You have to be willfully blind to not see that Trump’s ego feeds off of ring-kissers and roaring crowds. It didn’t prevent him from getting some things done right as president, but it didn’t prevent him from making some terrible appointments either.
