I took mom with me to visit him today, and he was barely coherent, drowning in his own fluids. We discussed a few things, and decided to send him to a hospital with a dialysis machine that *might* be able to clean his blood, because his blood pressure is so low a regular machine doesn’t work.
Of course, they had to sedate him for the hour long ambulance trip, so I took our mom home, and now she’s sitting in her chair while I’m playing keyboard twit.
Many thanks for the support, and G_d’s will be done.
I’m so glad your dear mom got to see her son.
My heart breaks, for her, you, all who love your brother.
Praying for a miracle! 🙏🏻
Dear Jesus, Divine Physician and Healer of the sick, we turn to you in this time of illness.
O Holy Ghost, dearest comforter of the troubled, alleviate our worry and sorrow with your gentle love, and grant us the grace and strength to accept this burden.
Dear God Our Father, we place our worries in your hands. We place our sick under your care and humbly ask that you restore your child, Don W's brother, to health again. Above all, grant us the grace to acknowledge your will and know that whatever you do, you do for the love of us. Amen
If he has renal failure the only thing that can help him is dialysis and getting him in a hospital with a dialysis unit is the most important thing you can do - besides cleaning the poisons out of the blood, it can also remove excess liquids. The amount of liquids to be removed are determined by what his nephrologist would establish as ‘dry’ weight and the weight each time he gets dialysis.
My kidneys failed back on Memorial Day weekend and I had to go ER, and the hospital had a dialysis unit. Been on it ever since.
To me it’s an unnerving process and first seems like a never-ending purgatory, but it gets better. The ladies at the dialysis clinic I go to now are very good, caring and dedicated - I consider them as Angels. I wish your brother the best of luck and treatment.
