I think Lebanon is not full-out Islamist. I knew a Lebanese family in CA. Granddad came to US, had a little coffee shop in Michigan somewhere, eventually grew in billion-dollar shopping centers enterprise. In the generation I knew, one son was an MD (good friend of mine) and his younger brother made a great living and life as a movie producer.
They hardly fit the mold of Hamas, Hezbollah, etc.
Hezbollah’s stranglehold is predominantly in the South.
Lebanon has a significant Christian population. (maybe 1/4 to 1/3 of the population?) Not sure what the current numbers are.
Those are Lebanese CHRISTIANS. Of course they are not a problem! Hizb and their like are SHIITES like Iran, THEY are the problem. My God Americans are ignorant, at least know who your enemies are.
