The war-mongering in Europe has gone into overdrive, with military chiefs sounding the alarm to ‘imaginary wars’, trying to drum up support for Ukraine and to hypercharge Russophobia as the patience of the citizens in general with this conflict narrative has greatly diminished.
Now, the top UK general says they live in a ‘pre-war’ scenario, and insists that only ‘citizen armies’ will be able to defeat the coming Russian avalanche to disrupt the Western societies.
The head of the British army alerted UK citizens to be prepared for a war fought on the scale of the great conflicts of the 20th Century – and that they may need to be mobilized.

UK is in NO Position for a War with Anybody.
Apparently young Brits aren’t too hot on being cannon fodder for the Neocons and so the UK Government was forced to walk it back, essentially saying: “No, we’re not going to have a draft.”
Whether they’re being honest is an exercise left to the student - but considering the history of Neocon promises, I think you know all the answer.
It is fascinating that such media hysteria is being generated.
My suspicion is for something other than war, per se. It is that the West is now so indebted -- public debt, corporate debt and private debt -- that a reckoning is on its way, and the "war hysteria" is being used to obscure what is very likely to be seen in short order.
As a measure, US public debt today stands at the same level as it did at the height of WWII in real terms, and this without an actual world war, or at least not an admitted world war.
In terms of the British "empire," their term still in many ways, the nation has but a pipsqueak of a military force in terms of both men and materiel. What to do? Gin up hysteria, that a nation of people will "sacrifice" as they did during WWII. Will they? I rather doubt it.

What a joke! Cleaning up the Ukraine is breaking Putin’s piggy bank. He has neither the intent nor the cash to war with the EU. He won’t need to worry about them anyway ad they have depleted all their military assets giving them to Zelensky.

As sick as Americans are of war...hopefully, any involvement by Slo’ Joe would be the final nail in his political coffin. Of course, if Obama is maneuvering Joe to join a European war just to get rid of Joe in the next election...then we’ll be stuck with a war in Europe...and President Michelle Obama. (And maybe Kamala as VP again...two wimyns of color in top leadership. Please, just shoot me.)
