Finally, somebody who knows a little history. Have you, like me, noticed the lack of a response from the media when Abbott spoke of the compact theory of government?
Or how his obviously accurate observation that the states created the federal government contradicted Lincoln's nutty claim that "the nation" somehow came into existence with the Declaration (and thus gave him the authority to counter the compact theory)?
How is the media missing a layup here - the chance to tie a Repub to 19th Century secessionists? They always do it, even when the connection is shaky (or non-existent).
