I watched almost the whole trial and there is no scale to establish how far I am beyond disgusted and outraged... as others have suggested, the fix was in the second it was announced that the trial was in DC.

DC Jury - called this outcome before the trial even began. This trial was political in nature. Therefore the outcome was already known before the Judge was selected, before the jury was selected.
This is awful. Our justice system is way past a “joke” and is now a political corrupt machine used to cause harm to political “enemies”.
Steyn should have won this case easily. The appeals procedure will be lengthy and costly and I’m afraid Steyn doesn’t have the time or money to go through that process.

They rigged this to get it into a DC Court. DC Courts are a blank check and rubber stamp for the left. It is a very bad situation.
It just proves no non-democrat can get a fair trial in DC. The courts there need to be defunded and disbanded.

The $1 compensatory damages allows Mann to request an attorney’s fee award from the Court. Although I believe he is being funded by several climate change groups and has no actual out of pocket attorney’s fees, the judge will probably award him the equivalent. Meanwhile, Steyn has used much of his own money and small donations from donors. His financial situation is the reason he was representing himself at this point. They have drained him of all financial resources.
The verdict was defined the moment the venue was chosen.
Goobers and the delusional were the only ones who thought that the judge’s comments, or the evidence, or whatever, was going to matter.
I’d expect nothing less than this travesty from a jury selected from the Washington DC jury pool. That beast and those people need to be starved.
