University of Iowa women’s basketball sensation, Caitlin Clark, will break the women’s all-time scoring record sometime in the coming week and maybe on Sunday?
But not everyone is excited for her.
Caitlin Clark went to Dowling High School in West Des Moines and then was recruited by the University of Iowa. In less than four years she has broken several all-time records in women’s basketball.
As ESPN reported Clark is averaging 32.2 points per game this season and is 39 points shy of breaking the record. For her career, Clark has: 51 30-point games (including 14 this season), the most by a Division I player in the last 25 seasons ** 15 triple-doubles (including four this season), which ranks second in D-I history behind Sabrina Ionescu (26) ** 11 40-point games (including three this season), the most by any D-I player over the last 25 seasons
Iowa women have sold out every game this year at Hawkeye Carver Arena, the team has sold out 11 away games. It’s all due to the Caitlin Clark phenomenon. NEVER has there been a female basketball player that has been able to bring so much attention to the game.
But not everyone is happy for Caitlin. Baskeball legend Sheryl Swoopes recently attacked Clark with several misguided statements Jason Whitlock responded to the nasty attacks on Caitlin Clark. Whitlock suggested the attacks were because Caitlin is a white, Catholic, straight girl. And, Whitlock suggested she would have been embraced by the female players if she were a black lesbian.
Maybe Ms. Clark is not interested in illiterate black lesbians.
I’m guessing Swoopes is black? Black and perhaps fills another category?
Ms. Swoopes is apparently something of a piece of work. From her Wikipedia entry:
“In 2013, Swoopes became head coach of the Loyola University Chicago women’s basketball team. In April 2016, Loyola announced that it was investigating Swoopes of alleged mistreatment, after the school newspaper reported that 10 of the team’s players have either transferred or want a release from their scholarships.[35][37] On July 4, 2016, Loyola announced it had fired Swoopes as a result of the investigation but declined to say what it had found.[38]”
Women play basketball? Who knew?
One person says something stupid and it’s news. Why give Swopes attention just to stir the pot.

Caitlin Clark is a great player, and shooter. She plays much like Steph Curry.
Her range is unlimited, and she gets her shot off very quickly. Only woman player worth watching.
Tomorrow she could be the eggman and the next day the walrus. We can all play in a pretend world!

CLark should go play in Russia and make some millions...the paid Taurasi a million dollars per year over there.
Guess the prime prerequisite for playing basketball is to be lesbian first
Swoopes is a racist, pure and simple, but gets away with it, because she’s a black lesbian.
And the top three NCAA women this year are all white - Clark, Paige Bueckers at UConn, and Cameron Brink at Stanford. That's unsual for a black-dominated sport.
