Jeffery Sachs: (Putin discusses) "a remarkable truth. The end of the Soviet Union did not at all end the US pressure and attacks on Russia.
"And, I think this is the real lesson of this -- it wasn't actually anti-communism, it was anti-Russia. And, it goes back two centuries, I would say, to British Russophobia..a century before communism.
"And the reason is Russia is big and powerful. And, in the British and US grand strategy, that, per se, is a threat, not the behavior, not communism or the post-communism. Simply the fact of a large, capable country is a threat.
"And, what we've seen after 1991, according to Putin's analysis, and I think it is absolutely correct...He says Russia said we just want normal relations. And, the answer was no from the United States. We want to surround you. We want to make sure you are weakened in every way. We will send the CIA to create unrest in the caucuses. We will send the CIA into your neighboring countries to overthrow governments."

Anyone who seeks the truth from Vladimir Putin will be more than disappointed.
I don’t fault Tucker Carlson for interviewing Putin. That doesn’t mean anyone should believe what Putin says.
For example putin claims that poland started World War 2.
When in fact Russia and Germany started World War 2 by cooperating to attack and conquer Poland.
As for Putin wanting to be friends and wanting to join Western Europe, he has more than disproven this propaganda argument by his actions.
It ain’t the West that’s phobic.
Paranoia is the basis for all Muskovite politics and foreign policy since the 13th century.
