At the end of the Ceremony, shots were fired. Television KC Channel 9 reports that there are 5 went to Truman medical Center. 3 Ambulances were sent to Childrens Memorial Hospital

2 people have been arrested at this point. Police are clearing the area in front of Kansas City's Union Station. The reporters have been moved away from the area in which they had been reporting.

Last word is that 2 armed people are in custody. One of the people was tackled by someone who Traveled to KC From Omaha.

Police have secured the scene and have an area set aside and are taking eye witness reports.

Police are operating under mass shooting protocol, but it appears to be over. The people associated with the team were safely evacuated.

One person reported that their brother had been shot in the face. Another was shot in the leg.

This was just on the news. There are 12 patients at Childrens Mercy, 1 was an adult, 11 were children. Of the Children, 9 of them had been shot.
