What’s so appalling was that there wasn’t even good disinformation that it was Russian disinformation. Even the ‘51 intelligence officials letter’ didn’t claim they had actual knowledge. It was nothing more than a fig leaf to allow the media to pretend it had cause to dismiss the laptop.
