I watched one minute—and then kept thinking about this song:

Dictator interviews are dictator interviews.

They are largely propaganda missions seeking sympathy and support.

It seems to have worked as after seeing the inane grocery thread yesterday-I couldn’t stop myself fr clicking the X in the upper right hand corner.

The incredibly sad thing is the complete lack of self awareness regarding our standard of living which is unparalleled.

I don’t care for Putin but Zalenskyy is a bastard!

This Rooskie talks about Navalny but, what about Gonzalo Lira? You know, the American journalist murdered by Zalenskyy. At least the Wall Street Urinal journalist is still alive.

Zalenskyy is not the one invading another country.

Stay on topic. If you want to write about Lira then post a topic on Lira.

Our standard of living dropped and our middle class shrunk. Compared to others world wide, we no longer are the leader we once were.

That is true for our GDP, industry, high tech, life expectancy, standard of living when compared to others.

The US after WWII was 1/3 of the global economy, today it’s 1/5. China is the world’s largest manufacturing base by a long shot...

We are not #1 in life expectancy, not even #2, or #3... We are at place 11 on the world stage!

For years people have been ringing the alarm bell that we are an empire in decline, that the policy decisions are non-growth oriented, socially destructive.

The fruits of these destructive social and economic policies have come to bear, we have squandered our wealth and much of our leadership role.

Post WWII we were not only in a global leadership position, we were extremely blessed (not destroyed, resource rich, lots of industry...). We wasted much of that away.

We are in decline, only a bit slower than our Euro allies.

Every country was invaded by another country. The British invaded America. America invaded Mexico. Hence we have the United States. The United States invaded France in WWII and later invaded Germany.

We have no business in Ukraine and all the wrong people are pushing to give them my tax dollars.

Didn’t they teach you “just war” theory in school?

If we do it is “just”.

If the other guy does it that is “unjust”.

Lol.

“The incredibly sad thing is the complete lack of self awareness regarding our standard of living which is unparalleled.”

That needs to said over and over.
All we hear is bitching about some part of it that isn’t perfect.
From the left and the right.
America rules, other countries drool.

Hence the problem-

we lead the world in bringing difficult pregnancies to life-

this lowers our life expectancy dramatically.

we have the highest survival rates for the 12 most common forms of cancer.

Our standard of living is unparalleled across the board.

US invented agritech which then largely ended famine.
The world cannot exist w/o Silicon Valley, the USD, US medical R & D, the global financial system, N et al ad infinitum. US manufacturing is at 1965 levels-it’s shrunk that much! Outsourcing to avoid pollution controls, labor laws etc....is not new in the slightest. China leads the world in renewables and nothing else state of the art. Much of China still has no power or running water.

The US is $200,.000,000,000,000 in debt/unfunded liabilities with no replacement for the USD even existing.

For years people have been sounding the alarm meanwhile the US is the only super power left on earth.

“Zalenskyy is not the one invading another country. “

But he is the one making war on the ethnic Russian Ukrainians in Dombass from 2014-2022 - many casualties and much destruction.

I have no problem with you making your claim—after you complete the full ghetto tour.

Here is an Eastern start:

Start with Camden, NJ.

Then Paterson, NJ.

Then Philadelphia and Baltimore

Then Southeast and North Central and Northeast Washington DC.

We are not talking about minor issues here.

Half of the population lives in dire conditions that would make you puke.

Camden is better now than 20yrs ago.

The badlands in Philly/Kensington, the heroin capital of the east coast may be worse than the prior 50yrs but not by tons and is hardly any statement on society

and the rest are largely similar statements abt Dem policy and little else.

Our existence is neither new nor novel and this time is not different.

The Democrats control over 90% of the large and medium size cities in the United States and have turned them into toxic waste dumps.

It is a big deal.

Those who choose to ignore it are just not paying attention.

Of course, these places don’t effect anyone’s standard of living around here in the slightest.

Folks are voting with their own 2feet and fleeing these places as if they were at war.

The Southeast is now responsible for more GDP than the Northeast.

It’s similar to examining an elephant with a microscope.
