On Monday, March 11, the Indian government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, took a significant step in addressing religious persecution by officially implementing the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).
This piece of legislation, passed in December 2019, aims to provide a haven for minorities such as Hindus, Sikhs, Jains, Buddhists, Parsis, and Christians fleeing oppression in Muslim-majority countries like Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Afghanistan.

That’s why Hindus, Buddhists and Sikhs were forced to leave or be massacred in Pakistan. Christians stayed, but are second class citizens now.

This is good, but let’s not ignore Hindu violence Modi both sparks and tolerates.
And yes, we should absolutely limit immigration from Islamic countries. But a President need not open his big fat mouth and *say* he’s doing this. If you care about it just do it and shut up.
