I once had a conversation with a diabetic woman who said ”Even if I were (she probably said “was”) rich, I’d still do liberal things, like give money to diabetes research.” I said “There’s nothing liberal about giving away your own money.”

Far too many people conflate “liberal” with “good,” or “well intentioned.” Saves ‘em the trouble of thinking, I suppose.

Most Liberals I have known were greedy and very stingy with their money. They were very generous with other people’s money, i.e. tax dollars.
