I'm tired of his Popups. My google toolbar no longer pops them. Could be something else, but I'm getting fed up with POPUPS!!!! I will no longer go to sites that I know of, that have popups. Thanks to FR I get all my news here! :)

Speaking of "pop-ups." Or perhaps, pop-offs!

I haven't seen a popup on Drudge in two years...that's when I switched to Mozilla.

http://www.mozilla.org

This web browser allows you to turn all popups off.

I used to run mozilla but it didnt do anything for me. I think I still got popups or something. Locked up constatly? But that was with win2k. I now have XP. Should I give mozilla a new try?

Definitly give mozilla another go. There are a few other browsers that are a little more stripped down that the project provides as well...

Get ZoneAlarm, and set it to disallow all ads that don't load in 1 second and all popup/popunder ads; and use something other than Infernal Exploder. I just went to Drudge with my Netscape 7.3, and not one popup.

I couldn't stand the constant auto refreshing, to boost his #s with advertisers.

If you tried it more than two years ago, they were in beta mode. It's now up to release version 1.6.

You could try Firefox, too -- another Mozilla project (browser only).

Should I give mozilla a new try?

Beats giving up Drudge.... [g]

does that zone alarm work with a wireless router? I've had some troubles with spybot and my wireless router.

That I don't know; but I'm sure if you hit their website [ Zone Alarm ^ ] they should have some info, or you can ask their tech-support.

Some are getting slick with the popups. I find newsmax.com to be even more annoying than Drudge.

I've been running mozilla firefox for about six months,
and it's absolutely *great*. no hangups, no popups,
or any other kind of "ups". no problems.

my only regret is that I didn't to it earlier.

Free Avant Browser here. Most excellent pop-up blocker; it even keeps a tally for you of all the ads it has blocked in a session. It gives me a strong sense of control and happiness to see that number. ( ;

Another Netscape user with pop-up control. I visit Drudge daily without a problem. Netscape has a liberal bias but I too get my news and views here. Heck, I'm so spoiled that I won't visit a site anymore unless I can comment on the articles. :-))
