Naah, don't take it personal. I've been posting here for years and my comments are routinely ignored. Maybe if I had something witty or important to say...
...and don't forget to B.L.O.A.T.!
Hey, thanks for the chuckle.
Yes. Yes it is. Have you left already?
Believe me, you'll benefit if you just stick around, I've been reading here for a couple years, and most of it is 'tounge-in-cheek' humor. Don't take it personally. The Internet tends to bring out the most honest/worst comments because it's all anonymous.
There are some very witty people here that serve up a few laughs each day. One day there was an earthquake in another country, someone posted "It's all Bush's fault" ... we all know it's not true, but it's still funny because the Democrats want to blame everything on our President.
I don't post very often, but regularly read the news to gather a picture of what is happening in the world today. It also took me some time to develop an understanding what the abbreviations mean. Here's some explanations:
DU Troll (or Troll in general) = You see this posted when someone from the Democratic Underground website (a very liberal version of this site) stops by to stir up trouble. Usually they are 'new' because their accounts get suspended very fast.
Bump/Ping = They mean about the same thing. It is a way for someone to notify their fellow freepers of an interesting story.
Bttt = This is an attempt to bring this story "back to the top" of newest postings area of the site.
In case you can't find what Hugh Series means ... there are a bunch of us that just can't spel vary whell ... :-)
I bet you didn't know Kerry was in Nam!
I'm still wondering what a "beeber" is! Just saw that a few days ago for the first time. Answer me if you want, but its not hugh series.
No longer with us.
Now, there are plenty of adults here. In fact, one of the reasons why we are not interested in comments from newbies is because a) there are, in fact, all too many brand-new, "fly-by" posters which we call "trolls", b) you need to "earn your keep" in this forum, just as other forums, c) newbies have a tendency to not have tough skin and then they get all upset and start complaining (see: you).
I will tell you that this forum is one of the best sources on the web for news. If you just want to consume the news without comment, fine. If, however, you want to jump into the fray with comments, then I suggest that you toughen up a bit.
That being said, if you don't like us maybe you got a wrong number. This isn't what you expected.
Most trolls come on by saying "I was once one of you and I voted for (any Republican)...and now I'm for (any demoncrat) and then start with the demoncratic talking points and lectures.
If you did this accidentally, learn from it but don't condemn us because of our experiences.
Wow. You might as well stick around. It's not as though you have a lot of time left.
Haven't got the slightest clue. Maybe we'll find out if we hang around this thread a little longer.
Oh, come on. That's not true. If it was, you wouldn't have taken the time to post this thread.
This is a new medium. Stick around, you'll find a rhythm and your own way to contribute.
And, we'll all benefit.
The majority of the people here are good hearted folks; don't be put off by the real trolls, those who try to encourage hatred at every opportunity.

Just don't be drinking any beverages while you're reading, or you will need a new keyboard.
