Seriously Reflective Expressions are not Angry Expressions.

The media seems to be supporting the buzz that Pres. Bush had some kind of angry expression on his face.

As a longtime individual and family counselor for the U.S. military, I had an entirely different take.

I thought his expressions demonstrated serious reflection on difficult issues.

I've professionally observed any number of clients over the years, and when confronted with difficult issues and decisions, the intensity of expression can make a person think they are look at agitation or anger.

Far more often as not, the person's facial expression is really one of brow-furrowing, mind-searching, serious reflection.

I wouldn't care if it was anger.

If somebody is telling lies at the rate that Kerry was slinging them tonight, he's got a reason to be angry.

I think it's called "righteous indignation"!

While I agree that righteous indignation is really nothing to be ashamed of, I simply don't think the president was angry.

His answers were too calm and focused for him to somehow have been simultaneously, disgustedly, emotionally angry.

It's a stupid charge.

Like he said (very calmly) at one point in the debate: "I'm a calm guy."

Not me....I wouldn't support the notion that Bush looked angry.

It's simply not the case.

The President frowned at some of Kerry's remarks - as any normal, intelligent, person would.

Kerry, through his words tonight, effectively placed in even greater danger our men and women in Iraq and other parts of the world, and the peoples in those countries who have committed themselves to fighting and working for freedom.

This had to significantly hearten terrorists in and around Iraq and all over.

I don't blame him if he was angry. My God, the questions were loaded, the arrogant traitor was calling him a liar constantly, and he is "mindful" of his manners and didn't punch the two democrats out!
