The Momentum Is Swinging Back

Posted on 10/15/2004 6:55:06 PM PDT by clcc

The momentum is swingng back. Can you feel it!

Bush did well in the third debate, but all anyone is talking about and all that will be remembered is the Mary Chaney is a lesbian comment. This pissed off decent people, and really pissed off on the fence moms. Without them, Kerry can not win. And fatso Edwards spouting off and piling on only made things that much worse.

The polls are all starting to tick in Bush's direction, and the other side is starting to panic and get hysterical because they are undisciplined and they know there will be very few opportunities in the next two weeks to reverse the big mo. Once the tide starts to solidify, we just have to keep the pressure on and stay positive.

Enjoy the ride!

Work for the outcome, don't just say it! This election is far from over. Work your butt off, like we are 10 points behind. Remember 2000! Do you want that kind of grief?

it was more than the Cheney smear which came through - it was the shifty eyes as he let it loose, reminiscent of his midnight insanity exhibition the closing night of the Republican National Convention. It was the purported deathbed admonition from his mother to stop his cheating & lying "integrity, integrity, integrity". Add to that Kerry's Dukakis-esque responses to moral or personal issues, another qualification to his global test, Bush driving home the final dagger of Kerry's 1991 Gulf War opposition, left unchallenged by Kerry as all he'd saved for the last debate was one more iteration of the Tora Bora lie and smear against our commanders and troops.

We're walking! With about 15 homeschooled teenagers, in cooperation with a local college's Young Republicans, knocking on doors, encouraging voters and handing out flyers; wearing our Bush/Cheney or David Vitter shirts with our "Don't be a Girlyman, Vote For Bush" sticker on our vehicle.

Not if you watched the McLaughlin Group tonight. Lawrence and Eleanor were absolutely giddy. Lawrence says there is no way Bush can win based upon the below 50 percent approval rating. I don't know when this show is taped so I am assuming the Zogby poll is the latest one.

Debates? Ohhh, you mean when Kerry made himself out to be a Jackass in front of 51 million viewers by slamming a guy's daughter for no clear reason. Yeah, I remember THAT debate. What a jerk. I'm going to my polling station in the morning. I want to be the first in line to vote Bush on 2 November.

And the momentum can easily swing the other way if we get complacent. There are only 3 weekends left before one of the most important elections in this country's history. Get the word out! Grab people by their heart and soul. Do at least one thing this weekend to help the cause even if it's something small like calling relatives to make sure they vote. If you have 2-3 hours (more if you can- remember the stakes here) to get out to your local Bush-Cheney headquarters, then damn it do it! Don't worry, the organizers will find something for you to do.

I will indeed continue to work for Bush, but you are right on. The "big mo" is back on Bush's side. As I said before, Kerry's mo was slowed dramatically by the VP debate, reversed by Bush in the second prez debate and given an after burner in the 3rd debate. Even without Kerry's classless comment about Mary Cheney, Bush had his mojo back. Kerry's remark and democrats continual insipid comments are only greasing their slide. Yes, Kerry's remark is the one thing talked about more than anything else from the debate, and it has put Kerry on the defensive. A candidate never, ever gains ground when on defense. He will only lose ground. IF Kerry were smart, he would have issued a statement IMMEDIATELY after the debate saying something like "I meant no offense to Mary Cheney or any member of the Cheney family with my brief comment in tonight's debate. In hindsight, I probably could have made my point without the reference. I sincerely apologize if anyone was offended. blah, blah, blah." This actually would have probably worked in Kerry's favor. Kerry's supporters could then say "see, Kerry can admit a mistake, but Bush can't!" As it is now, we see that it is KERRY who can't recognize a mis-step and make amends for it. With each democratic response they are digging a bigger and bigger hole. I heard a clip of Kerry's interview with CNN's Candy Crowley, where she point-blank asked him of WHY he used HER name. His answer was transparent and pathetic. NOBODY will believe that he did it out of "respect" for Mary Cheney. RESPECT? Give me a freakin' break!

Hey dummocrats - when you are done digging your hole, please do us all a favor and cover yourself up so we don't have to see your rotting corpse.

And another thing- I am sick and tired of winning the arguments only to be out hustled by the Dems durring the last few days of the campaign. I for one will not let it happen again. Every day for the next 18 days the intensity needs to be turned up a notch.

Bush did well in the third debate, but all anyone is talking about and all that will be remembered is the Mary Chaney is a lesbian comment.

That's what the DNC wanted! And the MSM is playing it up full time.

Look at it this way. John Kerry told the American public in the 3rd debate that he is a wonderful and effective Senator who has passed 56 bills that bettered their lives during his 20 years as a Senator. He then talked about the daughter Cheney to give the news orgs some red meat to eat as they devour the 3rd debate!

IMHO, it is entirely more important that the SOB lied to the American public about his record as a Senator than it is as to whether he is a sleaseball and would expose daughter Cheney's name to the world stage......

"I don't know when this show is taped so I am assuming the Zogby poll is the latest one."

Zogby has Bush up by 4 points.

Quote on Zogby site "Election 2004 Reuters/Zogby Daily Tracking Poll: Bush Opens Four-Point Lead (48%-44%); Undecideds Move Toward the President, New Reuters/Zogby Poll Reveals"

His daily poll doesn't show job approval.
