I've been looking forward to seeing it myself.

I agree. This was a great movie on many levels. If you haven't taken the kids to go see it yet, do it soon. (If you don't have any, go anyway). It's that good.

I did enjoy the movie, but it was a little too intense for my 5 year old daughter. Lots of shooting and explosions. Fantastic flick, but you might want to gauge your younger ones a little.

Lots of Violence and general Mayhem. Also robotic monster trying to destroy the incredible guy. Too much for kids under 10 in my opinion.

interesting, I'm guessing Steve Jobs didn't have much imput into the storyline then.
For those who don't know, Steve Jobs is a liberal and actually was an unofficial advisor on something or other to Kerry's campaign.

I'm glad you're saying nice things. The main character (Mr. Incredible?) looks just like my "baby" brother. Now that friends and family are seeing the movie, they say that the two act the same as well. I'm really hoping this is a GOOD thing! LOL!
I have plans to see it Saturday.

My hubby and our 6 year old son were positively giddy after having seen it.

Yes, this movie is terrific. I really liked the early 1960s look.

It's as much for adults as for kids. Lots of visual/musical references to early James Bond movies, especially the end credits.
Mr. Incredible had some great lines: "No matter how many times you save the world, it always manages to get back in jeopardy again! I feel like the maid; "I just cleaned up this place! Can't you keep it clean for ten minutes!" "
And his little rant against his son's "graduation ceremony" and for meritocracy - "He's just moving from 3rd grade to 4th grade!..." Even his (very competitive) little boy getting disgusted about (paraphrasing) "...everybody getting a trophy.."
Not sure if younger kids will like it - it's more of a drama/action flick than a laugh-out-loud comedy, or typical Disney fare.

What you are describing is what used to be called a "wholesome or "family" movie. Liberals have become so decadent that these movies now are labelled "conservative".

Great movie. I've been to see it twice, with two different friends. May see it again when I get home from Christmas, I'm sure my little brothers will want to go again.
