The only one that I thought totally ridiculous in the context of the movie was the stupid line in Independence Day... and I thought the title was stupid as well.

The things they made the old actress say were not worthy of a descent film.

Which is why they put them in that one.

Favorite part of that movie, watching DiCaprio sink like a frozen turkey.

of all the cheesy lines in cheesy movies out there, why these lines? What makes them cheesy? (except maybe for the Julia Child line. That I would put in the cheese factory. But probably not at record levels.)

These people have obviously not watched enough grade B science fiction movies. Now there you can find some real cheese.

Science Fiction Theatre 3000! I miss that show. I also miss that 1980's show where comedians improv dialogue while watching a B movie without sound. Used to play on USA Network on Saturday Nights.

It's a quote. I didn't make it up. The film dates from the 1980s.

Some more Repo Man quotes:

"It happens sometimes. People just explode . . . natural causes."

"The more you drive, the less intelligent you are."

"An ordinary person spends his life avoiding tense situations. A repoman spends his life getting into tense situations."

LOL! It's the next line to your quote:

Miller: Say you're thinking about a plate of shrimp. Suddenly someone says plate, or shrimp, or plate of shrimp. Out of the blue. No explanation. No use looking for one either. It's all part of the cosmic unconsciousness.
