Top Gun came fifth for the moment Val Kilmer tells Tom Cruise: "You can be my wingman any time." That also won for "best pick-up line" in a gay film festival.

Actor Leonardo DiCaprio's declaration "I'm the king of the world!" in the film Titanic has been voted the cheesiest line in movie history. I thought that "You jump, I jump" part?

Renee Zellweger was ninth on the list for the line in Jerry Maguire when she says to Tom Cruise: "You had me at hello." That's not nearly as cheesy as, "you complete me."

Titantic has my vote for cheeziest movie ever. I hated every moment of it. Especially at the end when the girl is an old woman. The things they made the old actress say were not worthy of a descent film.

Worst joke in film history:
"The servants wait while the master baits"--Madelain Kahn to the Vestal Virgins in History of the World Part I
Followed by
"Dont' get saucy with me Bernaise." Harvey Korman in the same movie.

Who could forget...
Love means never having to say you're sorry.
And that entire St Crispin's Day speech in "Independence Day" was cheesy.
The mawkish scene in "The Great Dictator" where Paulette Goddard looks at the camera and gushes about how wonderful the world would be if everyone was nice.

No no....it's
got to be Bette Davis to Paul Henreid in
Now, Voyager....
"Don't ask for the moon....We have the stars"
....or surely Vivien Leigh in Gone With the Wind...
"I'll think about it tomorrow"...
..."Tomorrow is another day"

The only one that I thought totally ridiculous in the context of the movie was the stupid line in Independence Day... and I thought the title was stupid as well.

of all the cheesy lines in cheesy movies out there, why these lines? What makes them cheesy? (except maybe for the Julia Child line. That I would put in the cheese factory. But probably not at record levels.)
These people have obviously not watched enough grade B science fiction movies. Now there you can find some real cheese.

Since it's a "Hollywood" thing, I'm curious to see what they consider to be the "best" lines in moviedom. Their recentl list of 100 greatest tv characters sucked.
