Park City, Utah -- The thing with the animals has gone too far, according to Werner Herzog. It is the opening party for his film "Grizzly Man," premiering this week here at Sundance. The film addresses the gruesome demise of Timothy Treadwell, a man who believed he had transcended the sticky relationship between predator and prey, spending much of his time living peacefully among the grizzly bears of the Alaskan wilderness. Until he was eaten. While being devoured, Treadwell pleaded for his girlfriend to flee the area. Instead she hit the bear with a frying pan. She was also eaten. Sordidly, the whole attack was caught on audiotape that, Herzog says, was too harrowing to include in the film.

I took a pic of a Cottonmouth Moccassin, used a small stick to get a good pre strike pose, and took flak from some Folks about the method. There are those who would hide their face behind a small camera,and move right in. Maybe they could get better results. Maybe so, Maybe not! 25 lbs left? Must have been a small Grizz!
It looks like his work consumed him :)
