I have long thought that the issue of illegal immigration would split the GOP base if Bush continued his policy of compassion for everyone but legal US citizens. But the pro-life camp hung in their even though they too mostly opposed illegal immigration. Well has Bush managed to alienate the pro-lifers too. Hell even many Democrats are aghast that what the government is allowing to happen in Fla.
It will take time for the scope of this betrayal to sink in, but when it does it will become clear that the current GOP is not up to the task of running the government and it not deserving of any support. Yea that means the democrats will once again take control of government, oh well, but anything is better then having a completely incompetent conservative in name only government. A completely incompetent conservative in name only government ties the hands of conservatism allowing liberal socialist gains that a loyal opposition minority could stop.
Time to let this government fall, it is not worthy of support.

It could trun out that the bots are right, that just a few right wing crazies see this as a basic, soul revealing good v evil fight. It is plain as day to me. I never said it wasn't a tragedy, but going crazy and irrational over it isn't going to help anybody either. I don't understand why people are making Jeb and W the scapegoats here unless they already had an axe to grind (which seems to be the recurrent theme here) with the 2.
Let us not forget that Jeb did save her life 2 years ago. This entire sad situation will give W the ammo he needs for the reforms needed. But let's abandon the party and let the Democrats take over and get 10000% worse. Yeah, that makes sense!! Let's punish the only people that have a chance at getting elected and end up with worse than what we would originally have!! woohoo!!! what a friggin joke.
Look at how effective conservatives were at stopping the liberal agenda when given a free hand as a minority. We were in much better shape under Clinton in many areas by forcing Clinton to address conservative issues. The bush government on the other hand only pays lip service to conservatives while allowing the liberal aganda to move forward. It is not about having a R government it is about moving our agenda forward and if that can be better done with he Rats in power (can that appears to be true) then so be it.

Bush got into office - and just barely - on the "look at what your other option is" platform. That is what our country has come down to.
Something has got to give or we will succumb, and very quickly at that.
Seems to me the Bots what power for powers sake, us right wing nut jobs want power to prevent evil from gaining power. If the bots will not use power against evil they they defeat our purpose just as much as allowing evil to have power. the result is the same in both instances, ergo supporting bots or supporting evil is identical it it's effect.

I now maintain that a conservative agenda is better served by a loyal oppostition in the hose and Senate, the GOP has proven to me that in power it can't move a conservaitve agenda forward.
Since the poor woman is question is not yet dead, the figth to safe her is not yet over. It would be extremely disrespectful to her cause, her fight for life, to abandon her while she is still fighting. But if you don't get it that a horrible evil is taking place right in front of your eyes then you won't get it get it that us nuts jobs will not give up the fight while she still breaths.

Our ruling class has fallen in love with the process of government and either no longer cares about the outcome or not longer has the intellect to understand the meaning of he outcome. It is all a game, how you play the game, how you read the polls, how you spin a story, how you get out there first, how you hide behind "the law", etc, etc, etc. The out come of the process effects them not at all that for us little people to deal with, they could care less as long as they look good playing the game.
