Has everyone filed their taxes?
Its that time of year again--the snow has melted, the days are getting longer, it is finally spring! If you're like me, that means it is time to deep clean the house. I no longer have an excuse for not cleaning the outside of the windows. It is finally warm enough for me to take down the Christmas lights and wreath. Time to pack up the parkas, ice skates, hats and gloves.
It is also tax time, a great time to deep clean the paperwork that has accumulated over the past twelve months. Do you save every receipt? Do you use the "circular file" a little too brazenly?
Spring also means yard work. Do you garden? Have you cleared away the remnants of winter debris and begun planting yet? Or do you know there is at least one hard frost lurking in the calendar, waiting to wipe out your seedlings?
Share with us any spring cleaning tips you have!
Good morning, gentlemen!
Good morning, ladies!
Useful thread bttt. :)
Happy Friday everybody!
Yes, spring has sprung down south!
I have finished my garden prep. and have given the lawn a hearty dose of weed & feed.
A good cleaning tip, I've found, is to buy the pre-moistened dust cloths (pledge, endust etc) to clean the wood and mini-blinds. Just turn the blinds downward and wipe top to bottom. Easy and effective.
Cheers.
Morning All!
We have a greenhouse in my yard; tomatoe shoots are already up. Expect to plant more seeds this weekend and ultimately take down the greenhouse mid-May when the fear of frost is over (N. Illinois).
Outside of the windows? We only do that when we list the house for sale!
I've been planning on sorting clothes and putting coats away, but we keep getting more cold weather.
Gardening is going well. We planted a Wisteria, more roses, and some other things. This week we've been painting clay flower pots, and we're going to put plants in them to give to our Scout leaders, Sunday School teachers, etc.
I am doing my mom's taxes today. I usually get them done by February *lol*
re:your tagline line, Honest????????? lol
We got our refunds and paid off the charge bill, but don't have enough left for the pergola. Maybe if Der Prinz gets a bonus later in the year ...
The outside of the windows is for my benefit. I love bird watching. The windows are so filthy by springtime that I can't tell a sparrow from a goldfinch.
We are waiting for the refund. I had "illusions of a laminate floor", but then my hubby showed me the charge bill! Dang
I do not do windows!!!!!!!!
Last year I said enough is enough and handed the paperwork over to an accountant to deal with the taxes - after nearly 20 years of doing them myself, I got tired of it. Especially now that we have to file both VA and DE taxes, besides the Feds.
ROTFL! Our neighborhood has a once a year free trash day--put anything out to the curb and the city will pick it up. In the meantime, it sits in the garage...it has taken on a life of its own this year!
ROFL!!!! Sorry for giggling - but that just strikes me funny considering your screen name!
I spent all my summers as a teenager in Sarasota, Florida.
We got a great laminate floor in Norman. I still miss it!
Happy to come to your house and do the wash ...
