Did anyone hear Bob Brinker yesterday? I heard snippets, but was unable to hear the whole program. I am curious as to what his take on the current General Motors situation is. I wonder at some point will the situation foster his "model" to change his sentiment as to the direction of the market.

Isn't the mind a wonderful thing when I saw the headline I immediately thought of genetically modified food and crops and wondered why he would be getting involved with those.

Wasn't he the one who said something to the effect that GM is a hugh health-insurance company that makes automobiles on the side? How unusual ...

Ken,
That has been said by many. I am curious as to his comments specifically about GM he may have made yesterday. Thanks for the reply.

He basicaly said part of GM's lack of sales is due to their low average gas mileage which is about 20mpg. Ford is 18 and the Japanese are up around 25-30.

Chap,
Thanks. I wonder if he had any comments as to the potential "macro" effects on the economy (ergo his model and how it signals the market(s) direction) should the GM situation actually deteriorate further even to the point of GM going Chapter 11.
To: taildragger
I didn't hear any economical predictions. The point he was making is that American car manufactures (especially GM) must get their act together with respect to fuel mileage so they can compete with the Japanese. He thinks this is as big a problem as the money sucking union problem. What do you think a GM collapse would do to the market? I have a hard time understanding economics which is why I listen to his show.
